The latest in nightclub design, furnishings and lighting
If your nightclub or bar design project is on a budget and you’re searching for a creative solution, consider using high-pressure laminates (or HPL’s). Some people may not know that another, less-familiar class of laminates exists (the low pressure variety), but for the sake of this conversation, I’ll simply refer to the former categorically as laminates.
I can hardly imagine anyone who doesn’t understand what a soffit is – at least the most common applications: a soffit is the “box” that sits between the top one’s kitchen cabinets and the ceiling, or the one that closes the area below one’s roof eaves. A soffit is technically the underside of any construction element, such as the area under a flight of stairs.
Design professionals are always looking for a new product or finish to add to their bag of tricks, and I’m certainly no exception. In our quest for being cutting-edge, however, it’s comforting to also rely on the tried and proven.
In an earlier Design Buzz post about architectural lighting (refer below), we discussed that many nightclubs today dedicate a great deal of financial resources to lighting. Lighting accentuates the club’s façade, guides people into the club, entertains them with theatrical lighting and video display panels, enables them to adequately see stairways and creates the club’s ambiance with accent lighting.
